Courses offered
Under Graduation: The programmes offered is 4.5 years BAMS degree with specialization in Ayurveda and surgery where students will learn about traditional medicines procured from herbs and shrubs in which useful medicines are extracted which can be treated to cure rare diseases which is not cured by drugs method.
Students will be provided 1 year of training where they have to apply their practical knowledge in patients visiting the hospitals such that they enhance their career with knowing diseases patients suffering from & what are the methods to be applied in order to cure it and innovating new medicines for better cureness.
Eligibility Criteria:
Students must have passed the 12th Std/two year PUC examination of the PUC education board, Bangalore or any other examination recognized as equivalent therein with English as one of the languages and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects with minimum of 50% of marks in the aggregate of the relevant Science subjects (Physics, chemistry and Biology of the 12th Std. /Second year PUC examination only).
However in the case of students belonging to SC/ST the minimum requirements in percentage of marks for admission to the first BAMS Course is relaxed by 10% marks.

Accommodation
Each department of GAMC has separate, equipped laboratories. All the laboratories are equipped with mannequins, stimulators and necessary articles for procedure demonstration, models, specimens, charts. Laboratories are utilized for demonstrations and student practice of procedures under supervision. The hospital has different categories of accommodation to cater to people of different socio-economic class. Well-equipped treatment rooms with trained and experienced therapists to perform all Panchakarma procedures for the benefit of the patient.
