St. Joseph’s College founded in 1882 is a private Jesuit, higher educational institution run by the Jesuit Educational Society in Bangalore Karnataka. One of the oldest college with a history of 140 years. In 1972 St. Joseph’s College was divided two section one is College of Arts and Sciences and the another one is St. Joseph’s College of Commerce even both remain under the administration of Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society. The College was rewarded a rating in the 4th cycle of re-accreditation by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) in 2017. The College is Recognized from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India.
St. Joseph’s College has more than 300 teaching and non-teaching staff and more than 6000 students. The college offers undergraduates and postgraduate course. Apart from this, it also offers certificate and diploma courses in multi streams.

Facilities
Library: College library is one of the oldest private college libraries in Bengaluru. The Library of the college has well equipped and spacious. It is well-stocked with over 20,000 titles, 100 + national and international journals. The books are available for both students as well as faculty members.
Classrooms: The college has state-of-the-art classrooms with smart boards and projectors. Every classroom in the College has an ICT facility. The classrooms are designed to provide maximum natural light and air circulation. In the last five years, more than twenty spacious classrooms were constructed.
Hostels: St. Joseph’s College Hostel design a hostel for men with all essential facilities. The hostel has a fully neat and clean canteen to provide healthy and hygienic food to the students. Spacious common rooms are provided in the hostel for constructive activities like indoor games, discussions, and recreation within the hostel. The Hostel has access to a Badminton Court, Basketball courts, Volleyball court, Cricket and Football grounds, and facilities for other indoor games.
Auditorium: The auditorium is housed in the Auditorium Complex which was inaugurated in 2014. It has excellent acoustics lighting, a green room, a basement, and necessary service points. Smart seating arrangements are available for 1260 people.
The Auditorium Complex also has four Seminar Halls. Approximately a hundred people can be seated in each seminar hall. Depending on the requirement of the event the seminar halls come in various sizes and seating options.
All four halls are ICT enabled along with a small dais for conducting programs.
Wi-Fi: The campus is fully equipped with a Wi-Fi network that facilitates students to access resources available on the internet.
St. Joseph’s Evening College
St Joseph’s Evening College was started in 2005 run for the underprivileged sectors of Indian Society, it was given autonomous status by the UGC, to devise its own curriculum. The Evening College is a minority institution and accepts students of all religious denominations without discrimination. It is associated with Bengaluru City University and offers undergraduate and post-graduate programs.
